What Hammel Scale is Doing to Protect Our Clients and Our Staff from the Spread of COVID-19
As the situation with COVID-19 progresses, Hammel Scale continues to adhere to CDC recommendations to help control the spread of the virus.
With that in mind, we have implemented the following practices for our staff:
A . Technicians – Technicians will be contacted each morning and given their assignments. If the employee needs to pick up a truck or needed supplies from the office, they are to have as little contact with fellow employees as possible and observe the social distance boundaries. Technicians who are in possession of a company provided vehicle will be expected to report to their assigned task from home. Customers should be called to make sure that the technician will have access to the plant floor in order to perform their tasks prior to leaving home or the office. Technicians should make sure that they have a supply of PPE (masks, gloves, etc.) before departing for the job site.
B. Administrative Personnel – All administrative personnel will be working from the office unless they demonstrate symptoms of the virus. All Office personnel should be aware of social distancing practice social distancing while in the office. The suggested space between employees is 6 feet. Office personnel will stagger their lunch as to maintain social distancing procedures.
C. Sales Personnel – Sales personnel will work from home as much as possible to minimize everyone’s exposure.
D. Technicians should not require customers to sign their computer, or paperwork when filling out reports. Technicians should type or write the name of the customer on the report.
